The “Dudaj” Publishing House was established on 25 January 2001.
Commendable presentation of its publications, matching the sagacious selection of the titles of books, more often than not contemporaneous with others across the world, have earned it a creditable reputation, and a solid status among the most prestigious Albanian publishing houses.
Successful in acquainting the Albanian readers with the best-known works internationally, the “Dudaj” publications professionals have made team work the strength of their performance. The publications designed to satisfy the taste of all kinds of readers, are grouped as follows:
The series on Albanian authors is devoted to very important works by Albanian tradition authors, including Faik Konica and Fan S. Noli, with the creative works of subsequent periods by Dhimitër S. Shuteriqi, Dhori Qiriazi, Artan Fuga and Sabri Godo standing next to them, and joined finally by the contemporary books by Rudina Xhunga, Brunilda Zllami and Elvira Dones.
European fiction is represented by well-known writers of world literature, inclu-ding Hermann Hesse, Simone de Beauvoir, Natalia Ginzburg, Christine Grän, Agatha Christie, Bernhard Schlink, Patrick Süskind, Max Frisch, Howard Spring, Nick Hornby, Sveva Casati Modignani, Roberto Saviano, Niccolo Ammaniti, Fabio Volo, Paolo Giordano, Daria Bignardi, Susanna Tamaro, Maggie O’Farrell, Muriel Barbery, Stieg Larsson etc.
Noble Prize winners in literature, including Imre Kertesz, Jose Saramago, Kenzaburo Oe,
Yasunari Kawabata, and Yukio Mishima, are also present with their novels.
Hispanic-American Fiction is represented by Isabel Allende.
Contemporary American Fiction is introduced through the works by some of the writers of world fame, including Dan Brown, John Grisham, Arthur Golden, Michael Cunningham, William Faulkner, Evan Hunter, Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Danielle Steel, Tracy Chevalier, Ken Follett, Elizabeth Gilbert, Lauren Weisberger etc.
Biographies and memoirs, including those of Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Madeleine Albright, Rudolph Giuliani, Queen Noor of Jordan, Chanel, Kledi Kadiu, Julia Roberts, Princess Diana, Oriana Fallaci, Marlene Dietrich and Sofia Loren have won a conspicuous place among other books.
Fiction for Children and Youth is very much present through the famous trilogy Lord of the Rings, which has pride of place in this series, Madonna’s illustrated children’s books, The Endless Story, as well as Jim Button and Lukas the Lokomotivdriver by Michael Ende, Artemis Fowl series, The Chronicles of Narnia, His dark material by Philip Pullman etc.
Poetry winds a fresh breeze through se-veral anthologies of world poetry, inclu-ding the Japanese, Turkish, and Arbëreshi poetry.
Among the Textbooks, a book on nego-tiation by the Harvard University Professor Roger Fisher, the Statistics Lectures, and the Physics Course, are worth-mentioning.
